  • Overview

    The Job Coach models positive work behavior and provides the necessary training and support to ensure consumer success in a variety of employment settings.

     

    The Job Coach is responsible for providing vocational and rehabilitation services to consumers in a variety of programs/sites, including The DECC Program, SE Group Sites, Janitorial training sites/programs, 1:1 individual job training, and Vending Crews. The Job Coach will provide general and/or specific services emphasizing vocational and work skills development for consumers within these programs. The Job Coach is responsible for maintaining a productive working relationship with host companies, employers, and janitorial service/vending service customers. The Job Coach will define and apply strategies for work simplification, environmental modification, task analysis, as well as specific training strategies.

     

    Summary

     Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

    1. Ability to adhere to the requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 and the standards issued there under by the US Department of Health and Human Services, and all Hope Network Affiliates
    2. Be a good communicator and have the ability to communicate, listen, and negotiate
    3. Ability to problem solve and navigate various settings and situations
    4. Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment that presents multiple priorities
    5. Ability to promote, foster, and build team work within work groups
    6. Maintain and provide support services in a dignified manner
    7. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and in a team environment
    8. Ability to be flexible with work assignments and work locations
    9. Ability to track and record consumer hours worked, services provided to customer, and track inventory (as needed).
    10. Good verbal and written skills

    Requirements

    Educational / Talent Requirements:

    1. High School diploma with experience in related field
    2. ETS Certification is preferred; ability to obtain ETS Certification is required
    3. Valid Driver’s License
