The Job Coach II is a key associate at Hope Network whose primary responsibilities include:
Providing all necessary and required vocational supports to program participants in facility based and community settings or a combination of both. Consults and collaborates with other program staff, supports coordination, guardians and families, and employers/host companies.The Job Coach II will mentor vocational employees. Encourages independence and building of natural supports within the work environment. The Job Coach II will monitor quality and general work performance, and coordination to make necessary adjustments to given task and environmental modifications to ensure consumer success. The Job Coach II is responsible to maintain consumer records (including Electronic Medical Record, EMR) and related documentation according to agency and funder guidelines. The Job Coach II is also responsible for monitoring/collecting data for program outcomes such as time studies. Work environments will vary between a variety of work sites and community based settings and may require periods of sitting, standing, bending, and twisting. The Job Coach II position may require travel utilizing personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement if doing 1:1 Coaching with persons placed in competitive employment, On the Job Evaluations (OJEs) and or internships. Availability to work on evenings and on weekends may be necessary with 1:1 placements depending on their work schedule. The Job Coach II models positive work behavior and provides the necessary training and support to ensure consumer success in a variety of employment settings including integrated group enclaves/mobile work crews. The Job Coach II is responsible for providing vocational and rehabilitation services to consumers in a variety of programs/sites, including Skill Building and Supported Employment Group Sites, Janitorial training sites/programs, 1:1 individual job training, and Vending Crews. The Job Coach II will provide general and/or specific services emphasizing vocational and work skills development for consumers within these programs. The Job Coach II is responsible for maintaining a productive working relationship with host companies and employers. The Job Coach II will define and apply strategies for work simplification, environmental modification, task analysis, as well as specific training strategies.
